Nuclear Fuel Complex (NFC), Hyderabad, under the Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India, has released a notification for the engagement of ITI Trade Apprentices for the 2026-27 training year. The recruitment is for candidates who have completed 10th and ITI in the relevant trade.

A total of 432 tentative apprentice vacancies are available across 16 trades, including Fitter, Turner, Electrician, Machinist, COPA, Electronics Mechanic, Welder and others. The apprenticeship training will be for one year, with a monthly stipend of ₹11,040 or ₹10,560, depending on the trade.

NFC ITI Apprentice Eligibility

Candidates applying for the NFC ITI Apprentice Recruitment 2026 must have passed 10th standard and ITI in the respective trade.

The ITI qualification must correspond to the trade for which the candidate is applying. For example, candidates applying for Fitter must possess the required Fitter ITI qualification.

Candidates should also have the required ITI marks sheet and National Trade Certificate (NTC) for verification.

NFC Apprentice Stipend 2026

The stipend depends on the trade.

Candidates selected for most of the listed trades, including Fitter, Turner, Electrician, Machinist, Electronics Mechanic and Welder, will receive ₹11,040 per month.

For trades including COPA, Diesel Mechanic, Carpenter, Plumber and Stenographer (English), the stipend specified is ₹10,560 per month.

The selected candidates will undergo one year of apprenticeship training under the provisions of the Apprenticeship Act, 1961.

  3. Log in using your registered email ID and password.
  4. Go to Apprenticeship Opportunities.

  8. Select the trade for which you are eligible.

Important Points About NFC ITI Apprenticeship

This recruitment is for apprenticeship training and not a permanent government job.

NFC clearly states that receiving an apprenticeship offer does not confer any right to employment in NFC. There is also no provision for automatically appointing apprentices in NFC after they complete their training.

The selected candidates have to execute a one-year apprenticeship contract under the Apprenticeship Act, 1961 and its applicable rules.

After completing the training period, apprentices have to undergo a Trade Test to assess their proficiency in the designated trade. Candidates who pass the Trade Test will be awarded the National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) through the apprenticeship portal by the Controller of Examinations, DGT.

Accommodation may also be provided by NFC to apprentices subject to availability of quarters.
