United India Insurance Company Limited (UIIC) has released the notification for recruitment to the post of Administrative Officer (Scale I) for the year 2026. The recruitment is being conducted for Generalists and Hindi Officers, with a total of 225 vacancies.

Of the total vacancies, 200 posts are for Administrative Officer – Generalists and 25 posts are for Administrative Officer – Hindi Officers. Applications are invited from eligible candidates through online mode only.

UIIC AO Eligibility Criteria 2026

The eligibility conditions are to be determined as on June 30, 2026.

Educational Qualification for Generalists

Candidates applying for the Administrative Officer – Generalists post must possess a Graduate Degree or Post Graduate degree in any discipline from a recognised university.

Descriptive Test

The Generalist descriptive test is for 30 marks and has a duration of 30 minutes.

The Professional Knowledge section covers Hindi and English grammar/vocabulary, knowledge of relevant Acts/Rules relating to Official Language implementation and translation between English and Hindi.

The Hindi Officer descriptive test carries 50 marks and has a duration of 60 minutes. It includes English and Hindi essay writing, Hindi letter writing, English-to-Hindi translation and Hindi-to-English translation.

Negative Marking in UIIC AO Exam

There is a penalty for incorrect answers in the objective online examinations.

For every wrong answer, one-fourth of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted.

There is no penalty for unanswered questions.

Candidates should therefore take care while attempting questions, particularly in the objective tests.

UIIC AO Salary 2026

The Administrative Officer (Scale I) pay scale is:

₹82,485 – 4,050 (14) – ₹1,39,185 – 4,390 (4) – ₹1,56,745

In addition to basic pay, selected officers will receive applicable allowances and benefits.

Five-Year Service Bond
